Testing Resources
The Clark County School District Assessment Department has many resources available in both English and Spanish. These resources provide background information on the state assessments, including the format of the test and which tests are administered in each grade level. Information is also provided to explain how student results are used by CCSD and the Nevada Department of Education to identify schools that need additional support as well as celebrate the efforts of successful schools demonstrating high levels of student achievement and growth.
The Every Student Succeeds Act of 2015 (ESSA) Section 1112(e)(2) states that parents of students in Title I schools have a right to know about policies regarding student participation in any assessments mandated by the state or District, including any policy, procedure, or parental right to opt students out of such assessments.
