Each fall, the Clark County School District publishes a newsletter that is filled with lots of useful information. It is available in English and Spanish. In this year's edition, you can find articles about:

Public Library Resources

In addition to resources provided by the school libraries in the Clark County School District, the public libraries in Boulder City, Henderson, Las Vegas-Clark County, and North Las Vegas provide access to print and digital resources for CCSD students and families with a free library card.
 

Parents can apply for free library cards for themselves and their students by following these steps:

  1. Go to this link: https://bit.ly/3AN1bZw.

  2. Determine the public library or library district in your zip code.

  3. Use the link in red that states, “Click here to apply for a library card,” and apply for your card.

Contact Tracing in Schools

Schools in the Clark County School District follow recommendations made by the Southern Nevada Health District (SNHD) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Assembly Bill 195

Assembly Bill 195 (AB 195) revises provisions relating to pupils who are English learners. Approved by Governor Steve Sisolak on June 2, 2021, AB 195 extends the rights of English learner pupils and parental rights. Section 3 of the bill provides an overview of these rights.
