School Performance Plan

A CCSD School Performance Plan (SPP) is a school's annual roadmap for improvement. Think of it as a game plan that every school in Las Vegas creates to help students do better. The school administrators work with the School Organizational Team (SOT), which is a group of parents, teachers, and staff who provide input.

Here is how we develop a School Performance Plan:

1. Find the Problems The school looks at its test scores, attendance rate, and improvement data to figure out exactly where students are struggling.

2. Set Goals We write clear targets or goals for the year, such as "Improve 3rd grade reading scores by 5%."

3. Make an Action Plan As a team, we decide how to reach those goals. This might mean buying new materials, starting an after-school tutoring program, or giving teachers special training. We use our school budget to pay for these changes.

4. Set the Plan in Motion Students, staff, and parents all play key roles in making a plan successful. Implementing programs, following the action plan, monitoring outcomes, and making necessary adjustments throughout the year lead to student improvement.
